Over the last couple of weeks Kito PWB has had 885 solar panels installed on the roof of our factory. These solar panels will help reduce our carbon footprint and make our chains and hoists that little bit greener on the environment.
The energy generated from our solar panels will be fed directly into the production facility, powering the machines that make the chains we’re known for. Our new solar panels will reduce our draw from the electrical grid by 365 megawatt hours and cut greenhouse gas emissions by around 429 tonnes. The benefits don’t just stop at reducing our environmental impact, we’ll also cut our average operating energy costs by about 20%.
Working towards being more environmentally friendly is just part of Kito PWB’s long-term strategy to make our chains and hoists as sustainable as possible.
